Senior Engineering Manager · Landlord Tech

Hands-on · Remote team (US + Philippines)

I run engineering and I still ship code. Architecture, delivery, and day-to-day engineering with a distributed team across the US and the Philippines.

Core product systems in the property space. Stack there is Java / Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, and React with TypeScript. Prefer calm systems and clear ownership over heroics.

Health Professionals app · Landlord Tech

Django 5 · PostgreSQL · OpenSearch

Also own and ship the Health Professionals (HP) application: Django 5, PostgreSQL, and OpenSearch. Same team, different stack — keep the boundaries honest.

Hardware → software bridge

Navy electronics → semiconductor test / imaging hardware → full-stack & cloud

Started in Navy electronics. Moved into semiconductor test hardware — imaging and test systems in the Micron-era context — where the hardware and the software had to agree or nothing shipped. The useful habit stuck: measure, verify, keep the feedback loop short.

That path still shows up in how I design software systems and how I coach engineers.

When the fit is right

Architecture, code review, AWS operations, teaching engineers to lead. APIs and apps across Java/Spring Boot, Python/Django, and Node.js; React/TypeScript fronts; infrastructure that stays boring on purpose. I jump in and get busy when the problem is real and the ownership is clear.

Claude Code where the code lives. An AI builder that can take a task through to a PR — I still read every diff. Grok Bot for the work around the work. Useful when it shortens the loop; discarded when it doesn’t.
